2198: The NSL's battle walls had taken enough of a beating at the claws of the
invading Kra'Vak. Officers who were too slow to adapt to the highly maneuverable
foe with the heavily armed and armored ships of the Kriegsflotte did not live
to learn from their mistakes. But the fleet designers have. New ships emerging
from the construction works on Neu Bremen and other colonies bear the fruits of
the most intense forward and reverse engineering efforts in decades. The new
construction "Flinke Flotte" has surprises in store for the hard-fighting
enemy. For their part, the Kra'Vak have not been idle over the course of the
long war. They have developments of their own, the plan to "share" with the
Hu'man, at the first opportunity.
Opportunity - for both sides - presents itself in the form of a strategic colony world.
Fleets: New construction NSL, with fighter groups from colony bases. Kra'Vak, some with modified
"advances", with carriers.

On the Outrim World of Bufera ("storm"), UNSC Colonial Armed
Forces are engaged in a desperate struggle to prevent the ESU
from overrunning the planet and taking over the local government.
What started as a skirmish action has turned into a small-scale war.
The Gramicci Pass was one area on Bufera that bore witness to
several of the more interesting battles.
The scenario plays on the "fog of war" concept in that both
sides have "sealed orders" and must achieve those goals, as
well as frustrate the goals of the other side if possible.
Objectives and missions of either side may not be clear. And
could possibly change during the course of the game.
Experience with DS2 helpful but not required. Not suitable for those under 16 years of age.

"This is Sanctuary, repeat, this is Sanctuary, can you give us your position?"
"....highway....eck's Bridge, near...."
"Repeat your position, are you at Beck's Bridge?"
"We've.... vehicles, heading for cover in.... woods..."
###
"What've we got?
"A group of survivors in the vicinity of Beck's Bridge. Sounds like
they've abandoned their vehicles and may be dispersed in the
surrounding countryside."
"Anything else? Status?"
"Signal's bad. Nothing more before we lost contact."
"Lovely. Send out a sweep team and see if we can pick them up."
"Sir, we don't even know if they're clean, if they have any supplies, how many-"
"Look, we need all the people we can get. Suit up and come back with
more warm bodies than you leave with."

Three days ago, Terran forces under the command of French Vice-Admiral Rochemont drove off the
Kafer space forces in the Beta Canum system. Ground troops were immediately landed with orbital
artillery support to engage the remaining Kafer garrison forces in an attempt to liberate "the
breadbasket of the French Arm". With orbital superiority, the human forces have made rapid
progress against major Kafer concentrations, but many smaller, scattered concentrations remain to
be dealt with.
Members of the 13th Demi-Brigade of the Legion Etrange (13e DBLE) are engaged in search-and-
destroy operations when they encounter a Kafer Warband. Legionaires and Combat Walkers engage
Kafer infantry and Deathsleds in one of the brutal engagements typical of the Kafer Invasion of
the French Arm. Will the valour of the Legion mercenaries prevail over the ruthless cunning of the
Kafers?
