The [Nation] spent more than a year attempting to discover the location of the pirate base holding those responsible for multiple raids in [Nation]
space. Merchant shipping had suffered badly, but the pirates always managed to get away. Intel operatives recently discovered the coordinates of a
likely base of operations. Housed in a small asteroid field orbiting a near-dead star system, the reported pirate base is a near perfect hide-away.
The [Nation] has assigned a task force to jump in, determine whether the base exists, and if so, destroy it. Any pirate ships operating in the area
to be destroyed, captured, or driven off.
NOTE: [Nation] is undefined on purpose. I have not yet decided who the attackers will be. :)

D barely noticed the slowly developing pain in his neck as M seemed determined to
hit every existing Arizona pothole in their black late model Ford. He had other,
more pressing matters on his mind. M was not happy about their current mission;
such routine investigations were beneath an elite team such as theirs. "Its
just an unauthorized entry, probably some idiot Spugs who got lost in hyperspace.
Don't they have local units who handle these things?" D grimaced, unhappy
about being questioned, "I have a hunch" His response was cut short as
the sky erupted into fire. Though miles away they, felt the impact of the
explosion and if M weren't an expert driver he'd likely have run off the road.
D noticed other dust trails racing towards the ball of fire. "Looks like we'll
have competition M." "Now we're talkin'!" shouts M, as he floors it and begins
to charge his weapon.
Hyper FMAS is a variant of FMAS developed by Martin and Steve, who stole
unabashedly from Inquisitor, ARES and other systems in an attempt to
maintain the generic goodness of the FMA system yet incorporate the
richness and individuality of character traits, feats and special
abilities as well as localized wound effects and a slightly different
morale system for those of us who value the details in small, intimate,
more character-driven skirmish games.

Michael's, Jo-Ann's, and stuff around the house, an Army or a Fleet can be
had with a little imagination, elbow-grease, and crazy glue! I will have
small kits for the participants and most supplies. We will build a starbase,
a gunship/drone, and possibly one other item. Then it will be a free-for-all.
If you've got junk, bits and pieces lying around your home, bring it! We can
see if we can make something from it! Open invitation to all to throw in
their tips and ideas.
