MC-177-2 is a mid-sized station housing 73 miners in a cramped but adequate
complex. Life in this station is dull, mind bendingly and stupefyingly dull.
To relieve some of the dullness Weyland-Yutani provides the mining supervisors
with non-addictive pharmaceutical recreation as well as generous alcohol
rations. Unfortunately, the sheer boredom can exact a toll, occasionally one
or two miners will go 'stir crazy' and become violent. MC-177-2 went off-line four days ago. Weyland-Yutani executives believe that several of the miners have fomented a 'revolution' and either imprisoned or killed the remaining miners. Before the insurrection gets out of hand Weyland-Yutani want it stamped on HARD. The mission of the Colonial Marine Team is to get down to MC-177-2, find the troublesome miners and return the complex to Company control. Utmost priority is to be given to returning the complex to a profitable status. Ultimate force is sanctioned in dealing with the 'revolting' miners.

A deep bell toned though the ship. "Ah! Prepare to leave Warpspace." The men felt the Thunderous vibrate as power shifted throughout the ship. "And here come the stars," said Nisk, "blazing away as always, with nothing around but...." His voice trailed off as the viewport opened in front of the gunners, revealing a Goliath Factory Ship -- one of the ships they were to escort! -- under attack by... "By the Emperor! Eldar!" Convoy Assembly is a Full Thrust game set in Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000(tm/c?) universe, loosely based on their Space Fleet starship designs. It will make use of Fleet Book rules as well as some specific house rules relating to the scenario and the universe in general -- in particular, the Eldar ships will use 'traditional' cinematic movement, while the Imperium's starships will mainly use the vector movement system with slower turning rates. Miniatures will be provided; some experience with the rules would be appreciated but not required. (Especially for the ships using vector movement.)
