The General War between the various race powers had been going on for over ten years, primarily between the Klingons, Lyrans, Kzinti, and Hydrans, with some clashes between the Klingons and Federation. Being one of the smallest empires, the Hydrans were hard-pressed to maintain a standing against the Lyrans and Klingons, so dispatched an expeditionary fleet to meet with the Federation in order to cement a mutual defense pact against the Klingons. The Federation sent out a reception party only to arrive at the meeting coordinates and find no Hydrans. Instead, there were Klingons, weapons ready and spoiling for a fight.

July 1946. The Axis has managed to stop the Allied Landings at Normandy. The Allies still maintain a foothold tying down a large part of the German forces but they are unable to make headway once they are out of range of naval gunfire support and the Luftwaffe jets reclaiming control of the skies or at least restored the balance. As a result of the grinding stalemate the long delayed operation Dragoon has been launched landing troops in Southern France and thus opening a new front. Currently the Allied Forces lead by the US 9th army is pushing out from the beachhead. The German and Italian forces caught by surprise are offering limited counter attacks to blunt the invasion.

Provider 2: We have been studying the Terran cultural idea of 'superheroes'.
Provider 3: Yes, they seem to be divided into two significantly sized camps: those who champion Marvel...
Provider 2: ...and those who champion DC.
Provider 1: What is this 'Marvel' and 'DC'?
Provider 3: They appear to be different universe views on superheroes and supervillains. The Terrans believe their literature is fictional, but Provider 2 and I have discovered in some parallel universes these beings do indeed exist.
Provider 2: We would like to bring some of each universe here and see for ourselves which ones will prevail.
Provider 1: Intriguing.
Provider 2: I bet 40 quatloos on the Marvel representatives.
Provider 3: And I will bet 75 quatloos on the DC representatives!

Being a prisoner of Inquisitor Harlow had its benefits. For one the food was excellent and the amasec was absolutely fantastic. So fantastic it almost drew him away from the conversation at hand. Almost.

"...and upon delivery of your little pest Jurgen we will then proceed to sector HQ where I will present you to the Ordo. They will ultimately decide your fate..."

Harlow had plans for Jurgen and I'm pretty sure if he were present he'd croak out a protest of sorts. Glancing over to Amberley, an inquisitor in her own right, she simply smiled and shot a mischievous wink to me.

Harlow wrapped up his speech with "...and while I have enjoyed your presence on my ship we reach our destination within 24 hours. Guards. Please take our guests back to their quarters."

The guards trailed behind as Cain and Amberley slowly walked back to their quarters. Upon reaching Amberley's quarters she playfully whispered, "Be ready when we break warp. I have a gift for Harlow." With a smile and a bounce to her step she padded into her quarters.

Now alone Cain lead his escort further on towards his quarters saying to no one in particular, "That woman is going to get me killed."

You might get to run the alien Planet Eaters, the strange Martian Menace, or the tentacular cosmic evil Lords of Chul. Or maybe you'll defend the Earth with the dinosaur-like Terra Khan, the chunky giant robot Defender X, or the slender high-tech ninja Zor-Maxim.

It has been six long years since the clans appeared on the fringe of the inner sphere. In that time, the empires and commonwealth of humanity have been thrown into chaos. In the past few years, many alliances have been crafted and the great houses themselves have begun to hire the services of mercenaries and cutthroats in order to help secure their domains against the onslaught of the technically superior clan forces. On the far flung planet of Gerunyd IV the lines of conflict are being drawn. Long used as a staging area, arms depository, and fuel refinery, Gerunyd IV has changed hands many times over the centuries, devoid of most residential development the planet has been transformed entirely into a troop muster and production hub to support House Kurita's efforts to both repel the clans and increase their own fighting potential in the eastern sphere.

Not unexpectedly, this planet has caught the eye of the invading clans who hope to capture this strategic point and the resources contained on the surface. In order to put this plan into motion, a number of clan strike forces have been assembled, these smaller units are tasked with assaulting and capturing strategic locations on the surface of Gerunyd IV in order to secure raw resources and battlefield intelligence. If each strike force can successfully achieve their objectives, the planet will fall before House Kurita has a chance to muster enough troops to adequately defend the planet.

Luckily for the Kuritans, some clan communications have been intercepted and plans made to repel the strike force have been made. Reluctant to commit too many of their own forces as the Kuritan nobility still fears a full invasion of the planet, the noble house has made a few underhanded deals to secure the services of the Crimson Swords mercenary company, only considered because their captain Makoto Kohama is of Kuritan blood. The Crimson Swords have been tasked with assembling a defensive line to repel the incoming clan attacks. The first strike force invasion has set the Katazusha Oil Foundry as its first target with battlemech squads from Clan Jade Falcon and Smoke Jaguar quickly landing and making their way to secure the location. Kohama and her Crimson Swords are ready to meet them.

Players will be split into 2 teams with one controlling the Clans and the other controlling Mercenaries hired by the inner sphere. Players will battle it out to control objectives and destroy enemy mechs. Lists will vary depending on player count (generally 200-400 pts).
