Being a prisoner of Inquisitor Harlow had its benefits. For one the food was excellent and the amasec was absolutely fantastic. So fantastic it almost drew him away from the conversation at hand. Almost.

"...and upon delivery of your little pest Jurgen we will then proceed to sector HQ where I will present you to the Ordo. They will ultimately decide your fate..."

Harlow had plans for Jurgen and I'm pretty sure if he were present he'd croak out a protest of sorts. Glancing over to Amberley, an inquisitor in her own right, she simply smiled and shot a mischievous wink to me.

Harlow wrapped up his speech with "...and while I have enjoyed your presence on my ship we reach our destination within 24 hours. Guards. Please take our guests back to their quarters."

The guards trailed behind as Cain and Amberley slowly walked back to their quarters. Upon reaching Amberley's quarters she playfully whispered, "Be ready when we break warp. I have a gift for Harlow." With a smile and a bounce to her step she padded into her quarters.

Now alone Cain lead his escort further on towards his quarters saying to no one in particular, "That woman is going to get me killed."

The Sd.Kfz 401 Transport fuer alle Gelaendeangriffe, more commonly referred to as simply, "The Koloss", was the largest armored vehicle ever constructed, a land-strider with unprecedented armor and armament. It was nearly invincible in conventional combat. However, as a slow-moving immense target, it was vulnerable to Allied saturated air strikes on the Western front. But in the east, where the Luftwaffe still enjoyed air superiority, and Soviet heavy bombers were rare, the appearance of a Sd.Kfz 401 Tf.aG and its escorts sparked an immediate desperate response by all available units. In December of 1947, when the German 3rd SS Division "Totenkopf" initiated its assault on Gdansk from the north, spearheaded by a Sd.Kfz 401, the Soviet 3rd Corps responded with all available reinforcements, including an air-mobile mechanized detachment. The entire Polish offensive depended on their success.

WOOGA! WOOGA!

"Nyberg, silence that alarm,” shouted the captain. "Frydenlund, I want you in constant communications with Nakayama’s radio man. Their sensor pickets should be the first to get a fix on the incoming fleet. We need to form a line and block the aliens from reaching Olafskrona. And make sure Trygg gets in position. I’m tired of him hanging back in ‘strategic reserve’.”

The Scandinavian Federation and Imperial Japanese Space Force (both traditional ‘rivals’ of the ESU) were holding their second joint wargames outside the Olafskrona system when sensors unexpectedly detected a sizeable flotilla of ships approaching from outside the ecliptic. The ScanFed and IJSF forces quickly reoriented themselves to intercept, and as the range closed they recognized the onrushing ships as a flotilla of enigmatic Phalons. The Phalons weren’t answering hails, and really, when you’re dealing with the Phalons one never knows if they’re there for a hit and run raid or a genocidal attack on a planet...

Ship designs taken from Fleet Book 2 and fan-made ship designs for IJSF and ScanFed using Fleet Book 1. Ships will generally be small; no larger than heavy cruiser. Players will generally control multiple ships.

Whatever surprise Amberly had in store for Harlow was quickly overshadowed by the Chaos fleet in system. Thankfully the Imperial Navy was there in force but even so a Chaos raider took interest in Harlow's cruiser and she was boarded. With some inconvenience Cain and company managed to make it to a pod and escape the ship.

That's when the trouble really started.

Cain didn't know what system this was but something was off. As the pod hit atmosphere and the surface details came into view he swore he saw...a castle? He had heard of feudal worlds throughout the Imperium but he'd never been to one. More importantly he saw cities on fire and the occasional red dot streaking to the surface. Landing pods. It seems as if the the enemy was making planet fall as well.

Retros exploded into action sinking Cain into his seat. As the pod came to a rest Cain drew his laspistol when the seals cracked. He was greeted by the sounds of...nature intermixed with the sizzles and pops from the cooling escape pod.

While Jurgen busied himself with Jurgen things he noticed that Amberly had walked to the top of a small hill in order to get her bearings.

Joining her she pointed off into the distance and said "That's were we're headed." Cain surveyed their destination. Yup. There as a castle. Lots of destruction. And uncomfortable amounts of danger. He noticed that puffs of white smoke from the ramparts were answered with a hail of las bolts. "They're using gunpowder." she said as she started down the hill towards their destination.

"Gunpowder?" Without answering him she continued, "We head for the Cathedral."

"The Cathedral?" Cain signed. Motioning to Jurgen to come along he muttered to no one in particular.

"This woman is going to get me killed."

Players will select one of six potential bounty hunters to try and fulfill the bounty in this semi-cooperative game. “Cooperative” as in you’ll need each other to overcome the challenges facing you, “semi-“ because each bounty hunter has their own agenda, and the terms and conditions of their contracts may not be the same as the others.
