The map, looking from the SW corner. ESU will come on at NW corner, OUDF from the SE. Green chits are wreckage of a downed recon sat that both sides are trying to recover.

ESU squads under fire. IIRC the fallen trooper was hit by an OUDF marksman ("why is that clump of grass on a base?"); however, that squad is about to discover KV in the brush along the stream.

OUDF mortar rounds miss their intended target (the squad on the hill) but disrupt the squad cowering in the brush. The OUDF marksman is hidden behind the orange tree at far left. Just to the left of the stream, an OU squad plus platoon leader subdue a KraVak prisoner while taking ESU fire.

The ESU called down a couple of mortar rounds on the OU marksman, which accounts for the smoke on the far side of the stream. The marksman called for "napalm or something" to destroy the bodies of the KV, who had just been gunned down by the ESU troops to either side. What he got was an ortillery strike which cleaned up everything within 8" of that green chit. In the distance, the OU commander hauls away their KV prisoner, while to the left, a KV search-and-rescue craft arrives a little too late to pick up their crew.
