TABLE #1
Game Name Game Type Game Master Players
Egg McGuffin Fast Take Out Full Thrust Jerry Han 4-6
Description
Complexity: Introductory

The return of the McGuffin! This is a bring your own fleet event: construct a fleet up to 1000 points in size. Miniatures and a fleet will be provided or those who don't have miniatures. Systems used in ships in FB1 are allowed, with the exception of fighters and fighter bays. (Yes, this means your home brews can be built WITHOUT FTL Drives. This is a silly slugfest, not some prancing about in a solar system.) All ships must be approved by the referee. The object of the game is to capture the McGuffin, drifting in the middle of an asteroid field. Of course, everybody else wants it too. The first player to control the McGuffin for three turns ends the game, with points determining who wins. Points are scored for the damage of your opponents and possession of the McGuffin.

Featuring 'Really Cheesy Boarding Rules. (tm)

Inspired by the Lightning Strike "McGuffin" episode, plus comparable scenarios in other systems.

TABLE #2
Game Name Game Type Game Master Players
Interrupted Negotiations Full Thrust Noam Izenberg 4-8
Description
Complexity: Moderate

Major NI and IF fleet elements are facing off (1000-1500 pts of ships) in the outer core when an SDN-led UNSC group (1500-2000 pts) arrives to diffuse the situation. The SDN is rocked by a double-threshold interior explosion, almost immediatley obvious as a work of sabotage, but by which side? The UN force fractionates as the chain of command falls apart, polarizing into pro-NI and pro-IF factions. Players will try to turn the SDN to their side as it self-repairs.

TABLE #6
Game Name Game Type Game Master Players
Terminator III: The Beginning FMA Aaron Newman 4-7
Description
Complexity: Moderate

Captain Stiles watched as the reprogrammed Mark III Terminator disappeared into the event horizon. It was done, victory in the future would be insured by protecting the past. He smiled at the irony that the first battle and the final battle were one in the same.

"Sir! Sergeant Maser reports that advance elements of the enemy force have engaged his position and are breaking through!"

Stiles studied a map for a moment, "Tell Maser to fall back to this ridge, I'll meet him there with the rest of the company as soon as we destroy the generator, then...."

"NOOO!", the tech at Stiles's elbow practically screamed, "The whole area is within a Newman-Lassner Paradox Field, if the generators stop before the temporal singularity is resolved, then the timeline will revert back to the null-state! Sir."

"Just give it to me in plain English."

"We have to keep the generators working until this light turns green. If we don't, then nothing we sent back will have ever arrived in the past."

"How long is that going to take?"

"The Newman-Lassner equations have an almost infinite number of solutions, its impossible to predict how long the field will take to resolve, it could be a few seconds, minutes, even hours or days."

"Damn it! Hours, DAYS! We don't have that long, the Machines will be here in a few minutes!" Stiles looked over his weary men, and realized that the final battle might very well be the last battle after all.

"Alright, tell Maser to get his men back here ASAP and take up defensive positions in the front. Donna, take your team and secure the processing center on the right flank. The rest of you are with me on the left. And you," Stiles turned back to the tech, "I want to know the very instant that light turns green."

This is an FMA scenario for 4-7 players, who will command humanity's last defenders, or the machines sent to terminate them.... Some experience with FMA or SGII is recommended.
