A Game of Strategic/Operational Starship Combat

This is a set of beta-version rules for a home-made game known as LightYear. LightYear is a strategic/operational level game. Players control starships, Grunts, and Bases, in an attempt to defeat their enemies through conquest or destruction.

I've stopped developing the rules... it just isn't working out the way I hoped it would...

Originally, this game was meant as a campaign engine for Full Thrust , but they've taken on a life of their own. I hope to optimize this game for play by e-mail, though playing it face-to-face is possible as well.

This is a free game. All I ask is that you respect the copyright on the game, and let me know what you think. Constructive criticism is always welcome. As well, I'm not doing this full time, so support for these rules will be limited, done on a time-available basis. (This game may eventually become Postcard-ware, but I doubt it. (8-) )
