12/05/2004: "now the real work begins"
I finished the 6 consecutive days of automotive retail professional college on Saturday, and now the real work begins. I have two dealerships that I'm going to contact in regards to actual work. I've already been to one, but instead of talking to the person I was supposed to, got a Sales Manager instead. I'll be going back. The other dealer I will be contacting tomorrow. Details of who and where just as soon as I'm employed - I don't want to jinx anything.
There's lots more to write - the course was VERY interesting - but I'll save it for later. I have an interview tomorrow (about an engineering position) and have lots of automotive-related phone calls to make in addition. So stay tuned, and if I have a couple of free hours, I'll spill all.
Meanwhile, if you're considering a career switch (and you know who you are), may I highly, HIGHLY recommend you check out automotive sales? E-mail me and I'll point you in the right direction.
More soon.
