02/13/2005: "slip of the tongue"

My wife is getting frustrated with her brain. Ever since she had our daughter, she's had a case of pregnancy brain. Slightly unfocused, sometimes it just doesn't work the way she wants it to. (During pregnancy, we call it "placenta brain".) Sometime this procudes funny results.

Today we were making strawberry shortcake (in celebration of Valentine's day tomorrow). She had just finished whipping the whipping cream with her hand mixer when she asked, "Who wants to whip the lickers?" I immediately answered, "I DO! I DO!" and started laughing uncontrollably. I knew she meant "lick the whippers", but hey, I wasn't going to let that one pass.
