07/13/2006: "just like that, my refund's here"
Just as a quick happy note, I am writing this on my Pismo once again. I picked it up after work, picked up an external drive bay, and with about 5 minutes of twiddling simply plugged everything together, hit the power button, and voila - my computer's back! The only difference is that now I have an extra cable coming out of the back, and there's a SUPER-bright blue LED lighting the room up.
Once I got the computer running again I checked my e-mail. There was an e-mail from the seller of this computer, asking for my PayPal account. I sent it to him, and not TWO MINUTES later, was notified that the refund was in my account. Absolutely stupendous. There are still good people in the world.
So, those of you that were hoping to nab a couple of prime Pismo parts from me, you'll have to wait. I'm going to try to keep this thing running until at least September 2007. Speaking of which, I gotta start a MacBook fund!
